An open letter to our customers regarding the Lockdown
Following the decision by the government to start 4 weeks of lock-down, beginning on the 5th November, We thought we would reassure you as to our plans.
All Bicycle shops are exempt from the lock-down as we are considered an essential business. We will remain open and maintain our current opening times.
Our priority during this time is the safety of my staff and customers, with the agreement of my staff we are going to be implementing the following measures to ensure everyone's safety.
Our staff have been informed of the symptoms to look out for, and I have instructed them to self isolate should they need to https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
I have taken advice from the NHS website for this, and of course if their advice changes, we will follow their advice accordingly.
You must wear a face-mask to come into any of our stores, not a neck scarf, or any other material based covering
I have asked my staff to wash their hands regularly, and to clean the surfaces of the stores, including door handles regularly
The front door locked, simply knock on the door and we will open the door for you
We are limiting the number of customers in our stores to family bubbles only, the door will be locked behind you
Please queue responsibly outside our stores and maintain a 2 metre distance
We will maintain a 2 metre distance from our customers
Please only touch items that you are planning to buy
I have asked my staff to try to do contactless card payments where possible, and to minimize cash payments.
My staff are regularly cleaning our Cash registers, card machines, door handles and all surfaces in both our stores with Antibacterial surface cleaner. and if needs be will wipe down any purchases you make with antibacterial cleanser.
There are posters explaining these new rules to our customers on the doors of our shops
I will also be limiting the amount of contact my staff have with each other, by maintaining social distancing and avoiding the risk of cross contamination.
If you feel you may have any of the symptoms of COVID19 please stay at home.
As we have done since March, we are still offering free collection and delivery of your bike for repairs and servicing.
Please call Beccles on 01502 217626 to arrange
Thank you for reading, and we look forward to seeing you in a mutually safe way
